My Sexy Weight Loss Yummy Recipes
My handsome guy has been getting on my case for me to start a blog about my healthy gourmet weight loss meals that he loves so much, so I can inspire all my followers... here I am finally writing them. So as many of you know, I lost close to 100 lbs with my amazing weight loss pills Slim Miracle but my results were more successful because I learned how to eat and made it a lifestyle forever. Of course I do my best to workout at least 3-4 times a week (I should do 5 though, ugh!) but what you put in your mouth does 75% of the work for any body transformation... for better or for worse. Most people don't believe I was so overweight, but it was my reality. Since I'm from the Dominican Republic and my family were from the country with no knowledge of nutrition, they used to feed me with fattening stuff but they just didn't know any better and that's all I knew as well. Every time I started a "diet" it never worked because they were so boring, weren't tasty and ugly looking and when I started it at 8am I gave up by noon, lol! Sound familiar?
So I thought to myself, I have to find a way to eat healthy to lose weight but keep the weight off forever, so I did massive research day and night on nutrition so I wouldn't starve myself and make it fun for myself to stay on track. I'm very picky with what I eat, oh yes sir! My food has to look yummy, taste good and has to be different every day.
All the recipes you'll see posted on my blog are cooked by me every day for me and my family. The trick to lose weight and keep it off is "portion control" and once you get your body used to this you will not want to eat more than that. All the pictures you'll see are based on 4oz of protein with 4 oz of carbs, or 4 oz of protein with 4 oz of veggies or greens and you'll LOVE them!
Today's recipe is Quinoa Topped With Stewed Tuna and I can't tell you enough how yummy it was.
Ingredients:
QUINOA:
1 cup quinoa
2 cups water
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of pink himalayan salt
TUNA:
1 can of tuna
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 cup canned diced tomatoes
salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves garlic mashed
1/4 cup of chopped red onions
For the quinoa: In a large saucepan over medium-high heat bring water to boil with salt and oil. Stir in the quinoa, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the quinoa is tender, and the liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes. Stir the quinoa occasionally as it cooks.
For the tuna: Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the onion and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and stir... let it cook for another 3 mins. Add the tuna and season. Cover and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes until the tuna is tender.
Enjoy!
